Social care
We provide social services, free counselling and accommodation in our social services homes and school dormitories to expatriates from Ukraine under the same conditions as to Slovak citizens. Accommodation is for people with a low or no income.

We also provide free advice in Family Help Centre.
Education
We provide assistance with the integration of Ukrainian children into the educational process at secondary schools within the founding competence of Žilina Self-Governing Region.
In schools, we try to provide teachers who speak Russian who students can approach if needed. Find out whether Russian is currently being taught at a particular school.

Health care
The University Hospital with Polyclinic in Žilina opened an outpatient clinic for children and adolescents and an outpatient clinic for adults for Ukrainian patients. The staff speaks Ukrainian. The clinics are open every day. More information
The Hospital with Polyclinic in Dolný Kubín provides women from Ukraine with gynaecological and obstetrical care. The staff speaks Ukrainian. The clinic is open every Tuesday from 8:00 – 14:00. More information
Transport
Žilina Self-Governing Region provides free travel by trains and suburban buses to people who have been granted SLOVAK HELP or have a document granting the status of temporary protection in the first edition. You are entitled to free travel on the day of receiving the document and the following 4 days.
